Who we are
Random Picker System ("we", "us") is a free web tool for picking random winners and splitting groups into teams. It is operated from Iloilo City, Philippines. You can reach us at contact-us@zeromits.com.
Information we do not collect
You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details to use the tool. Spreadsheets, pasted names and winners are processed only inside your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see them.
Information stored on your device
To work properly the site stores small items in your browser's local storage: your display settings and theme, your advertising choice, and, if you leave "Remember my list on this device" enabled, your current entrants and winners so a refresh does not lose your raffle. This data never leaves your device. You can switch it off or erase it under Customize, Data, or by clearing your browser's site data. See the cookie policy for the full list.
Information collected automatically by others
- Hosting and network providers process standard request data such as IP address, browser type and requested page, as every website host does, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Open-source libraries and fonts are loaded from public content delivery networks (Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr). Their servers see your IP address and browser details when files are requested.
- Advertising (Google AdSense). If you allow advertising cookies, Google and its partners may collect data such as your IP address, device identifiers and pages viewed to serve and measure ads, and, if you choose personalised ads, to tailor them. Ads are loaded only after you make a choice. See the advertising disclosure.
- Analytics. We do not currently run analytics cookies. If that changes, this policy and the cookie settings will be updated first.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply and improve the site. Please do not send entrant lists or sensitive personal data. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your request.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above to provide and secure the tool, remember your preferences, understand and fix problems, respond to messages, and, through advertising partners, fund the project. We do not sell personal data and we do not build profiles ourselves.
Legal bases and your rights
Where data protection law such as the EU/UK GDPR or the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 applies, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies, our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and the need to answer your enquiries. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal data, most of these are satisfied by clearing your browser data and using the cookie settings. For anything else, contact contact-us@zeromits.com.
Children
The tool is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Teachers may use it in class with lists they control; please follow your school's data policies when entering student names.
International transfers and retention
Third parties named above may process data in countries other than yours under their own safeguards. Data stored in your browser stays there until you delete it. We do not otherwise retain your lists.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and processes your lists locally, which removes the main risk of data being intercepted or leaked from a server. No system is perfectly secure, so avoid including sensitive information in entrant lists.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision, and significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
